In the news...
 

Members of the Texas Chapter of the NPDA attended the 2011Senior Day at the Capitol in February in Austin. The contingency were able to represent the interests of the private duty industry and advocate for the needs of seniors in Texas. They met with various lawmakers or their representatives and with Chairman Tom Pauken of the Texas Workforce Commission. The group also attended and sponsored the Texas Silver Haired Legislature’s Gala. Board member Derral Reed presented the IMPACT award to Mrs. Pat Porter of Big Spring.

           The board identified Senate Bill 223 as a potential issue for private duty and have been communicating with our representatives about the impact it could have on seniors. For more information about the bill,click here.
